Marcus McFarland is the Graduate Student Research Assistant in the HED program with N.C. State Extension. Marcus was previously the Family and Consumer Science (FCS) Extension Agent with N.C. Cooperative Extension, Union County Center from 2018 - 2023. Currently, he is a Nutrition and Dietetics Masters student at UNC-Chapel Hill. 

Through the HED program, Marcus assists with implementing the HED program by supporting FCS Extension Agents providing the classes in their counties. Marcus works to help with the enrollment of participants and ensure additional support needed for the success of the agent’s scheduled classes.
